Building our signature Leica R Cine-Sets is a multi-stage process

1. Hand-picked for Perfection
We begin by seeking out some of the very best Leica R lenses – those free from permanent damage (sadly all-too-comon at 40 years old), which exhibit faint signs of use– at most.

2. Professional Treatment
Then we assess for professional servicing, which most undergo, to meet high standards of optical clarity/condition/alignment and mechanically flawless; this usually involves having them serviced by experienced lens technicians and receiving cine-CLAs (clean, re-lube, adjust) before earning the next stamp of approval.

3. The Cine-Conversion Process
We maintain a longstanding partnership with Duclos Lenses, pioneer of the Cine-Mod® process, entrusting them with our very best/recently cine-serviced lenses for their high quality Cine-Mod® conversions. They add another layer of quality assurance as their lens technicians check/flag any issue before modifying each lens for cine-use.

4. Are we there yet?
After a lens has been converted,we add yet another layer of quality assurance by carefully inspecting and testing each lens to ensure it meets the performance benchmarks necessary to earn a coveted spot in an Optical Brilliance Cine-Set.
