A late Leica VARIO-ELMAR-R 80-200mm F4 ROM Zoom Lens recently serviced and in excellent working condition.

Condition details (see recent photos):
  • Cosmetically 9/10 very clean with some light signs of use to the black finish and mount but with no damage to the body. 
  • Optically 9+/10 recently professionally cleaned– very clean and clear; without scratches, fungus, fog, haze, separation or oil on the blades. Some normal micro-dusts present. 
  • Mechanically 8+/10 smooth zoom movement, focus feels less smooth but without comprise performance. Aperture, iris and built-in hood working great. 
Note: This lens was recently professionally cleaned and serviced, and has not seen use since.

9+/10 Mechanics: Focus movement feels smooth and consistent. Aperture/iris and Cine-Mods® are in great working order.

Vintage Character

The rendering style of this 1990s Leica R lens maintains sharpness and unique Leica qualities at all apertures. The color palette from this vintage is fairly balanced between warm/cool. The image maintains rich Leica character and minimal optical distortions on most modern sensors.
